The causes of Alzheimer’s disease are still largely unknown and until it’s better understood, there’s little certainty about how to prevent this devastating condition. There are, however, some indications that a diet that includes fresh fruits and vegetable may help prevent the illness according to an article called

The article quotes Dr. David Snowdon, Ph.D., a professor of neurology at the University of Kentucky. He likens fruits and vegetables to a mutual fund of health because of the “thousands of compounds that offer protection against a variety of diseases, including Alzheimer's disease." The article continues to recommend:
While there’s no guarantee that a diet rich in these will prevent Alzheimer’s, it is a healthy diet and that certainly can’t hurt.
